Hello Sunshine Spring 2020 Fashion Trends
It’s time to pack away the heavy coats and dark dreary colours and add a bit of colour to your outfits again as the Spring 2020 Fashion Trends bring bright pops of colour.
The colours this season seem to vary from bright pinks and electric blues, to light pastels and soft muted colours. So there is no excuse not to inject some colour into your wardrobe, as there is something for everyone.
We are still seeing eighties and nineties inspired clothing this season. There are heaps of pretty florals and leopard prints, but if that’s not for you, checks and stripes are still a classic look.
You’ll be seeing Bermuda Shorts teamed up with a blazer for a professional look, or with a t-shirt and sneakers for a casual look. If you are short like me, go for a high waisted pair and tuck your top in as this will help your legs appear longer.
And while talking about options for shorter ladies, when wearing longer skirts, opt for the thin floaty ones, with high slits or the classic long lined pencils with side or front slits. Slits are great for us because then we don’t look like we’re drowning in too much fabric.
Vests are making a comeback in all different textures – denim, leather, houndstooth or the black tuxedo vest. They are great for layering for the cooler days and add a dash of panache no matter what.
And the list of exciting options goes on :
- Crochet tops, dresses and long lined vests
- Striped knit dresses, A-lined or straight
- High waisted, wide legged pants
- Bralette tops, teamed up with a jacket and pants
- Soft leather skirts and leather pants in different colours not just your classic black
If you like a more fitted garment, then you’re in luck – corset style tops and dresses are trending and you can really cinch it in.
This season’s shoe trend is fun and colourful. You’ll have plenty to choose from – big and chunky platforms, the classic Mary Jane, the modernised loafer, square toed strappy sandals, chunky boots, lace up ankle boots and touch of bling to top it all off.
The bag trend seems to be more about the detail – anything quilted, with chains, a touch of bling, floral printed, bright and colourful, or all of the above. We will bedazzled with colour and bling this season.
Remember ladies, shop from your wardrobe first. Make a list of what you may need to fill the gaps before you hit the shops. Have fun adding that pop of colour.
