Brown seems to be a colour that you either love or hate, even though there are so many different shades. But one thing about it is that it goes with so many other colours.
Black and brown are two neutrals that create a stylish look. I prefer a deep rich brown to replace the everyday black.
While I personally am not drawn to brown, and only have a few brown garments, I do love brown boots and I have a little collection of those. I’d like to share some tips today about how to wear brown this season.
There are many different shades of brown and its important to choose the right brown for your skin tone or you won’t get the best out of your outfit. A quick and easy way to choose the right brown is to make sure it is significantly lighter or darker that your skin tone.
Brown is excellent teamed with a number of colours, especially if you want to give a special look. For instance, brown teamed with green gives an outfit an earthy feel while teamed with one of many different shades of cream gives a very classic look. And a crisp white shirt and a brown jacket looks great with jeans.
A pop of pink with brown gives a vintage feel and with light blue or turquoise look fabulous, while an orange based red and brown is a fun look.
Yellow or mustard hand in hand with brown and burnt orange, cream and brown are a perfect combination, if the warm colours suit you.
