Packing For A Seaside Holiday
by Antoinette Stonham
Early this month I had a little break away from Sydney, so I’m going to share with you what I packed. It suited my week away on Tangalooma Island Resort perfectly.
Before You Start Packing You Need A Known Few Things About Your Trip.
- How are you travelling to your destination – via road, rail or plane?
- Research the weather for the duration of your holiday
- The dress code in cafes and restaurants you may be attending
- If travelling overseas, does the country you are visiting have dress regulations
- What activities do you plan to take part in.
- Will you require any formal or after five wear.
.
These Are Just A Few Things To Think About.
My little break wasn’t complicated to pack for as Tangalooma is a casual place to visit, the weather is warm during the day and is cooler in the evenings, we travelled by plane and ferry and we had an overnight stay in Brisbane. So I packed the following
- 3 pairs shorts
- 3 singlets
- 3 pairs of swimmers
- 1 maxi dress
- 3 sun dresses
- Hat and a cap
- Sunglasses
- 3 sets of pyjamas
- Underwear to suit my outfits
- 5 pairs socks
- 1 pair of flat silver sandals
- 1 pair of nude mid heel wedge
- Sneakers suitable for bush walks.
- Denim Jacket
- Jumpsuit for travelling
- 1 evening dress and heels, for dinner in Brisbane
I kept it very simple and suitable for my destination and activities.
And that’s the secret – think and plan for the destination and what you expect to be doing while there.
